Steven Van Geert is a partner at Bannister Lawyers, where he heads the family law and family property law department.

He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Antwerp as Master of Law. Immediately afterwards, he started work as a lawyer at the Antwerp Bar, now the Antwerp Province Bar.

During his studies, he developed a special interest in Family Law, Matrimonial Property Law and General Civil Law. He developed this interest further in his career as a lawyer by specialising in these areas.

With legal precision and the necessary empathy, Steven guides clients in negotiations and through proceedings in court. He does not hesitate to speak out sharply and firmly when the case requires it.

In court, he always knows how to use his gift for words to argue your case with dedication. A quality which has already been rewarded as the winner of various pleading competitions at home and abroad.

Steven is also very actively involved in the Antwerp Bar Association as a board member of ‘De Conferentie’. He organises all kinds of activities and training days for and by lawyers, which results in useful contacts and a considerable network.
