Intellectual rights
'Intellectual law' brings together the rules that enable the protection of any 'intellectual creation' by giving legal protection to its precursor and/or effect. Consider the protection of inventions and technical design through patent law ("patents") and design law, of marks through trademark law, and of personal intellectual creations (literature, software, jewelry design, photography, etc.) through copyright law.

The "intellectual right" allows a person to acquire a monopoly on such creation and thereby acquire sole rights to elaborate, commercialize and, above all, protect this creation from being used by others.
Bannister Lawyers is happy to advise you on the usefulness and scope of (certain) intellectual rights and on their application and management. We are also happy to assist in drafting and negotiating specific contracts or relevant clauses.
