In addition to their love of the law per se, Bannister attorneys are also passionate about sports in general. The combination of both has led the firm to gradually specialize in representing the interests of various actors within the sports world (players, clubs, supporters, etc.).
The sports department is headed by Thomas Machtelinckx and Maxim Korthoudt, each with their own specialization. Thomas Machtelinckx takes great pleasure in picking through the jumble of legislation and case law in order to be able to offer an optimal service in the context of disciplinary proceedings (KBVB, BAS, UEFA, FIFA,...), as well as proceedings concerning the Football Act (stadium bans and the like).

Guidance
For some time now, Bannister Lawyers has been providing services to professional athletes and their entourage. These services include the review of (employment) contracts between athletes and clubs, as well as with third-party partners (such as sponsors).
