Creative solution avoids procedure and restores cooperation between contractor and builder

A contractor approached us because his invoice of 12,000 euros was withheld by the builder, who felt the work was not proportionate. However, the builder's complaints seemed to be worth only 1,500 euros. Instead of taking immediate legal action, we worked with the contractor and the builder to find a creative solution that proved more beneficial to both parties.

We took over the communication and offered a solution where 6,000 euros was paid immediately. The remaining balance was blocked and would not be released until full completion of the works. Thanks to this approach, the site was successfully completed, the contractor was paid in full, and both parties were able to close the case in confidence without the need for litigation.
